More and more people all over the world are living in the cities. 54 % of the world’s population lives in urban areas, a proportion that is expected to increase to 66 % by 2050. The global urban population is expected to grow approximately 1.84% per year between 2015 and 2020, 1.63% per year between 2020 and 2025, and 1.44% per year between 2025 and 2030. Because of this, the streets are getting packed and there is hardly any space left. The existing cities are developing. They all want to improve their Quality of life, but in the same time we want the leave the smallest footprints possible, on the world. That cities are developing, we see in Londen. A new concept is taken place. Everybody likes to go out sometimes but the hardest part is when you need to go to work in the morning so you can’t go dancing in the evening. How can we take care of the people who also like to go to clubs, but can’t go in the evening.
Why is it cool
For the people who need to do important things and can’t go out in the evening, but also like to have a good time. There is the DayBreaker. Once a month there is a morning party instead of an evening party. The idea is to stay fit by doing dances in the morning. The only thing that is different with these Morning parties is, that there is no alcohol involved. You can order coffee or smoothies and in the same time meet new people. You need to wake up early to go to a party like this, but afterwards you are full of energy to start your daily routine fresh and you also did sort of a workout trough your dance moves. The DayBreaker makes partying and meeting people for everybody possible. So there is no excuse anymore for skipping the club.
This concept has future growth potential because it is something new. By going-out and partying you think about the evening, but with the DayBreaker, going-out gets a whole other meaning. It makes you feel happy and in the same time you are working out. I’m very curious to see if this is going to work and if it is going spread to other cities. I heard Amsterdam is thinking about it. The sustainable cities of the future are going to be a lot different than now I think. We see here that a night activity is moving to the morning. I think that more things are going to move around. In 2050 66% of the population will live in the urban area’s so it wouldn’t surprise me if half of the population is going to be awake during the day and the other half during the night, to live with enough space.
